JD Sports has appointed Currys chair Ian Dyson as a new non-executive director.
Dyson will also join the sportswear retailer’s Audit and Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
He is currently the chair of electrical goods retailer Currys, a position he has held since September 2022.

Prior to that, he was chair of fast fashion retailer Asos. He was promoted to chair from senior independent director in October 2021.
Before that, Dyson had been on the Asos board since October 2013.
He has also worked as senior independent director at Flutter Entertainment PLC and was a non-executive director of SSP Group PCL.
During Dyson’s executive career, he worked as group finance and operations director of Marks & Spencer from 2005 to 2010.
