Thousands of customers have had their Tesco deliveries cancelled or postponed due to a nationwide computer glitch.
The supermarket giant said it was “working hard” to fix the problem, which began this morning and affects customer orders and fulfilment from some stores.
A Tesco spokesperson apologised for “any inconvenience” and highlighted that a maximum of 10 per cent of customer orders were impacted by this glitch.

Many customers took to social media to complain that their grocery orders had not arrived as scheduled.
@Tesco what do we do about no grocery deliveries today? How do we get a reschedule? My numbers not on system and had no email #nofoodforus

The Tesco spokesman said: “We’re currently experiencing an IT issue which is affecting some grocery home shopping orders.
“We’re working hard to fix this problem and apologise to customers for any inconvenience this may cause.”
He added that customers were being told to re-arrange their deliveries online.
Those affected were offered a £10 voucher in compensation.
