// Bestway hires advisers from Christie & Co to market 37 retail properties across the UK
// The Bargain Booze, Wine Rack, Select Convenience & Central Convenience stores no longer fit with Bestway’s strategy
Bestway has appointed a property adviser to market 37 of its stores as they no longer fit with its business strategy.
The stores in question – which trade as Bargain Booze, Wine Rack, Select Convenience and Central Convenience – were acquired in 2018 from the administrators of Bargain Booze.
Now being marketed by Christie & Co, the shops are all held leasehold and the majority have reported record uplifts in trade during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Christie & Co said the shops are available for individual purchasing.
“These stores couldn’t have come to market at a better time, when there is heightened interest in convenience retail,” Christie & Co retail director Mark Kaluza said.
“We have already agreed a number of deals on these stores since coming to the market.
“The sector has received a real boost though the Covid-19 crisis as more customers shop locally.”
