Marks & Spencer is set to announce six guest brands in clothing and footwear as part of the drive by its chief executive Steve Rowe to transform the business post pandemic.

A selection of items will be available online from labels including Cornish-based Celtic & Co, sustainable fashion company Albaray, Fat Face and Jones Bootmaker.

The retailer is hoping to curate a selection of brands that are relevant to its customers, these include Hobbs and Phase Eight, both popular for formal items and occasionwear.

Marks & Spencer will also be offering lingerie from Sloggi and Triumph alongside its own underwear ranges.

The initiative to act as a platform for other labels, named Brands at M&S was launched in the spring.

As well as clothing, the business is expanding its beauty offer to include brands such as Boucleme and it has also done deals with kids’ stationery brand Smiggle and Clarks shoes.

Currently, Brands at M&S is primarily online with an in-store trial in Stratford in east London, but is being rolled out on an experimental basis in Argyle Street in Glasgow, Bluewater, Cheshire Oaks, Manchester and the Metro Centre in Gateshead.

  1. Becoming an upmarket Debenhams. All of these brands have stores in Canterbury well most of them. I don’t shop at any of these brands and not likely to buy clothing from M and S sorry to say.

Need to be careful they do not go the same way as Debs.
As for food, please stop with such short sell by dates. It puts me off buying food from you.
