// Asda opens its second Express store at Tottenham Hale in London this morning
// The grocer will also create 10,000 new jobs as it pushes ahead with its target of opening 300 Asda Express convenience stores by the end of 2026
Asda has opened its first Asda Express in London today in Tottenham Hale and revealed its plan to open 300 more by the end of 2026 as it looks to convenience to drive growth at the business.
The Tottenham Hale store forms a key part of the supermarket‘s long-term strategy to overtake Sainsbury’s and become the UK’s second largest supermarket by market share.
The new store – which follows last month’s Falcon Lodge launch in the West Midlands – offers food to go, an instore bakery, fresh produce, a click and collect service, has nine self checkouts and will also offer a rapid delivery service via Uber Eats.
The new store features a range of hot and cold ‘food for now’ options from both Asda and a number of partner brands including Leon.
