Amazon gives Evri accredited seller status to deliver its Prime parcels

// Evri has become an accredited Seller Fulfilled Prime carrier for Amazon supporting merchants across the UK
// During the trial period with Amazon Prime, Evri had a delivery success rate of over 97%

Amazon has given Evri, formerly Hermes, an accredited Seller Fulfilled Prime carrier for its Prime service to deliver parcels on behalf of merchants on the online giant‘s website.

Evri received the accreditation after completing a six-week trial, during which the firm says it “consistently met or surpassed Amazon’s requirement to successfully deliver parcels to stringent standards”.

A key requirement of the trial was that it could collect the parcels after 4.30pm from Monday to Friday and after 12.30pm on Saturday from the merchants within the UK, to then deliver to recipients the next day, anywhere in the country.

The partnership comes despite Evri facing customer ire over the Christmas period where many parcels were severely delayed.

The delivery giant was forced to apologise when some customers had not received their packages by mid-January after staff shortages, Royal Mail strikes and bad weather contributed to delays.

Evri already delivers to individual Amazon customers and this new collaboration will allow about 85,000 small and medium-sized enterprises across the UK on the Amazon store to select it as their delivery provider across Prime and non-Prime orders.

Evri ecommerce director David Saenz said: “This new collaboration with Amazon Prime is an important milestone for us. It demonstrates, once again, that we’re  a parcel industry disruptor that is helping to bring down the cost of delivery for consumers and businesses, and offering a fast, reliable, and cost-effective service to compete with the UK’s traditional carriers.”

“Evri has always been committed to supporting businesses, big and small, and Amazon’s website is a great way to demonstrate – at the highest level – what we can help them achieve.”

  1. Well that will probably be Amazon parcels being found in ditches as well as the hundreds of other parcels Evri are supposed to deliver. Do Amazon really expect them to deliver on time when they can’t do it any other time.

  2. I am not happy paying for prime if evri are going to deliver parcels we have had some many parcels not delivered we pay for amazon prime not evri an awful company and see so many complaints against them

  3. Horrible business decision. Evri is by far the worst delivery company. It’s one my complaint with amazon that they use evri so much. This is not going to go well.

    • yet I (Evri driver) once moved 3 soaking wet parcels left by Amazon on a doorstep whilst the homeowner was away for the weekend

  4. Just another way for evri/Hermes to rob the delivery driver .I work for evri and they are only to happy to take every penny of the driver, this company needs to be investigated by the government for the way they treat the workers . Next ,ASOS, Amazon, Matalan JD Williams all need to be ask questions.

  5. Is this story a joke? Evri are most definitely the worst delivery company in the UK! I had 8 parcels over the last year returned to send because the Evri delivery driver claimed there was no access in to the building I live in! Yet I have a video doorbell with motion detection built in to it & it has yet to record any delivery driver from Evri from any time in human history! Not only that but the Evri delivery driver who delivers in the area I live, doesn’t seem to know how to press the button on my video doorbell because there has never been an Evri delivery driver used my doorbell! If there had have been, I’d have 30 seconds worth of footage from both the press of my doorbell or from the motion detect captured footage! My video doorbell works perfectly well for everyone but those idiots from Evri. Quite clearly the Evri delivery driver who delivers in my area is a liar. No video footage means that he was never at my door!

  6. Evri have had a parcel being delivered to me stuck in there depot for over a month and there’s no way to get them to help. Just try getting help- it’s impossible. Looks like I’ll not be ordering from Amazon.

  7. Evri is the worse courier service in the world they cant deliver parcels on time .over the years I have had many problems with evri the latest problem I had with evri was about 6 weeks came with my parcel then out off the blue he asked me my dob I said I wasn’t going to give him my dob and he started shouting refused refused wouldn’t give me my parcel I said give me my parcel and he told me to fuck off. I order online all the time for years and I have never ever been asked mu dob by any courier service I made a complaint against the driver for swearing at me and for not giving me my parcel I had to wait about another 10 days to get my parcel.

  8. What a nightmare, the worst delivery company in the UK! I’m still waiting for my delivery from 2 months ago, and there customer service is just as fast as that too! It takes atleast 2 days to get an AUTOMATED response let alone get anything done about it.

  9. I have recently had 2 Amazon orders delivered by Evri. On both occasions the delivery took over a week. As I don’t know if Amazon or Evri will be delivering the item’s, I will not be using Amazon again to avoid the continuous waiting.

  10. At least my Evri courier rings the bell and waits till i answer the door , not like the Amazon
courier they just leave the parcel on the doorstep
